In all, a useful camera though, as others say, it is an indoor cam and the IR does not work through glass (actually you can if you angle the cam at an extreme angle).

I copied the PDF instructions to my Kindle Fire and that is an excellent way to read them while fiddling with the camera. On my Nokia phone I have not found an app but can again access the Cam through the web. You can also access the Cam on Kindle Fire using the web and IP address.

This provides a full screen display and you can swivel the cam using a swipe. I can view on my Kindle Fire using the FOSCAM app from the Amazon store. I am still exploring remote (away from home) viewing.

The need to set it as a trusted source is not in the manual email support is very good and explained this. Then click the video record icon and change the path to where you want the video stored. First you must set the IP Cam address as a trusted source in your internet browser. If you select video you will get about one minute of recording and at 640x480 definition this will take around 18Mb of storage! Then actually getting the video to save where you want is a trick. If you select email then you will get a message with 4 or so snaps each about 60kb in size. It was not clear from the instructions that you can tick either video or email but not both. There is an option for recording video or sending an email alert. You will probably want the camera to alarm when it detects motion and sound. Thereafter the setup ceased to be quite so easy. I then set up the wifi link, associated the cam with an access point and unplugged the LAN - bingo 2. Plugged in mains, plugged in ALAN cable and followed the installation prompts - bingo, a clear picture. There is a quick setup guide with a full manual on the CD. The camera out-of-the-box set up was easy. The picture as I write this is the wrong one.
